I got another one of my computers running today - it now has a full compliment of hardware in it. Just need to get an OS on it. I was thinking of putting Xubuntu onto it. Going to plug my external into it and then use Xubuntu to share it across my windows and mac network. Might use it for sharing my printer across my mini network (that is growing by the month as I fix more computers xD), but I suspect that is more hassle than it is worth. Direct USB for now methinks.

3/6 computers up and running now I need a new PSU and a PCMCIA card (maybe…) to get two of the other computers running, and a fan and a CD drive to get the last one running. The last one is probably not worth it at all though, as it is a ridiculously low spec machine. I was thinking of putting freeNAS onto one of them, but it only writes to UFS I ideally would want it to share my external hard drive. Maybe I’ll use it to backup important files onto, but it’s yet another format to use xD
