going plymouth over xm,as + several jam seesion !! 3oo !!!!!!1

After being at uni for a few weeks Ive got a nice routine going:

Monday night – band practice.

Tuesday night – a bit of work. Im so shattered from lectures (6hours usually) I cant do much.

Wednesday – Only two lectures, so I spend the afternoon doing problem questions.

Thursday night – still doing those questions. Im retarded!

Friday – wake up early to finish of questions. New questions are set.

Saturday – Cook waffles (from scratch!!!) for breakfast. Do washing, buy food. Read a few chapters of textbook and go over lecture notes. Party in the evening.

Sunday -  Start problem questions.

So yeah, thats uni life. And its great But still, I cant wait for Christmas to come, and to be able to go home and see all my family and friends again !

Saturday night just gone was ace. Went t a second year’s party (The other guitarist in my band). Drinking games and pizza ensued. Saw some random person Id met several weeks earlier – took me a few hours to recognise her !!

Capped off the night with an addition to the house’s roadsign collection. That makes 3 now…

Ebay’s feedback.

I buy an item off ebay. I pay. Rather than the seller giving me good feedback for upholding my end of the deal, they wait until I give them feedback. Obviously, if their product is faulty and I give them bad feedback, they will be petty and give me bad feedback.

damn problems that my lecturers set also gmg. last week there was only one i couldnt do, this week theres 2 :O I might have to resort to asking my lecturers for help…

My pickup is now in my guitar Sounds awesome. The guy that runs the second year labs was really helpful, and let me use the 3rd year’s equipment that they were using for theyre projects

My pre amp also arrived – a marshall jmp-1 valve midi pre amp Sounds beautiful.  Running it through the effects loop of my amp atm, which by passes the amp’s pre amp. Was so worth working 100 hours in a week and a bit for it

Got my self a band for uni aswell. Everyone’s really good at what they do! Should be entering battle of the bands next term.  Cant wait !

When I first used this app, I thought it was a bit crap. Couldnt play my mp3’s, couldnt see my music etc.

But after installing xine, gxine, and some funny lib files for my mp3’s (easyubuntu), it works fine ! And its found all my music, looks nice, and has an intuitive interface ! I had to choose the xine engine under hte settings though.
Before I was using gxine which works nicely. However, its quite unstable – didnt always open properly, crashed etc.

So all in all, great app.

Anyone know how to make the xine engine the default…?

Went with my house to watch the Borat movie last night – absolutely hilarious !! You MUST see this film !

Not much else has been happening up here…invented some new games. One is a variation on baseball/rounders. Someone on the top floor drops a clingfilm-wrapped-in-tinfoil ball out hte window. One person at the bottom belts it with a frying pan and 2 fielders try to catch it. Was much fun until the dean told us off incase we damage the window (wtf ? it was clingfilm. Foo’!).

The second involves throwing kitchen knives at the notice board and trying to make them stick in. Excellent game, and we got the hang of it after a while. Ninja !!

I now have my new pickup (Dimarzio Evo2 bridge). Apperantly the guy that runs hte first year labs is into guitars so im gonna go ask him if I can use the lab equipment to install it. He might help too !
